Web 2.0 awards list

I could spend a bit of time on this one. "Judy's book" had maps you could click on your area and see all the sales at local stores etc. "Coverpop.com" was neat you had tiny images of dvd's in a huge mosaic that you could click on and read about the particular dvd. This feature would be creative on our web page for a few possibilities.
I still think Library Thing and Bloglines could be very useful to us as far as book reviews and interaction with patrons and staff for opinions and comments on books.

ZOHO writing

I like the way this is set up and I can see that we might be able to use this in our clerical work.
I am finding so many places to go back to and spend more time on through this whole 2.0 experience.
I was able to copy and paste this to my blog successfully.

Wiki

I thought the Princeton Public Library site in "Booklovers wiki" was set up really nicely.
"Subject Guides " had alot of information and interesting things to read about. The sites with cafe's and entertainment were very creative.
I found that the number one song on the day I was born was "Come on a my house" by Rosemary Clooney, (I am really old!).
I don't have a lot of use right now for wiki but I enjoyed reading about it and hope to have more use for wiki in the future.

2.0 Readings

"Into a new world of librarianship"
We do have forums and discuss plans with the patrons in regard to our new branch openings. I agree with the idea of reading outside the profession and listening to staff members and library users when planning. Hopefully we won't succumb to "techno-worship" here at YPL.

"Better bibliographic services"
Our catalog is not always user friendly to patrons and staff.

"To a temporary place and time"
I enjoyed reading this. I like the way it stressed the importance of people working at the library with a unique understanding of the documents they compile and catalog. Patrons will still need someone experienced to be a tour guide of the library and it's services.
Reading 4.0 the knowledge spas sounded very good to me.

Technorati

I went into Library stories it was interesting, they had a story about having a music video with librarians in it.
In the photo section was a photo of library camp in NYC (I am volunteering to go to that one!)
Looking at the BLOG section I was happy to see some of our very own bloggers.
